Wallabies are wild harvested. The land they are harvested from does not need to be deforested, “improved”, cultivated, sprayed or fertilised. There are many things you DON’T have to do that add up to big environmental gains. The biodiversity benefits are significant.
Furthermore, wallaby use a relatively small amount of water to produce meat. Their soft pads are gentle in fragile riparian areas.
Animal welfare benefits
Wallabies are wild harvested. They are not fenced, drenched, handled, transported live, “bred”, fed grains or processed products. All animals we process MUST be brain shot by accredited Harvesters.
Furthermore, Bennett’s wallaby are solitary, not mob animals.

Zero Waste
Lenah was founded to reduce waste. The goal is complete utilisation of the whole animal. Meat not sold to restaurants or retailers is made into smallgoods; bones are processed for pet food. Waste reduction has been taken to the next level with the creation of “Wuggs”, wallaby fur Ugg boots. Each boot uses multiple skins, an item that historically has gone to landfill.
