Wild deer are a big and growing problem in Tasmania. Enormous mobs roam across the landscape, eating crops and pasture, wrecking the natural environment and scaring motorists. You would not want to hit one in a car! It is estimated wild deer cost farmers up to $80 million/year. Environmentally they are a major pest. Sadly there are established populations in Tasmanian World Heritage areas. The long and short of it is – you are doing the world a favour feeding our wild harvested venison to your pets.
